Dhiraagu Together with Sparkhub, Introduced the first Startup Grind event for young Entrepreneurs in the Maldives

Dhiraagu together with Sparkhub, have organized the first Startup Grind event for young entrepreneurs in the Maldives. Startup Grind is the largest independent startup community, that nurtures startup communities through events featuring successful local founders, innovators, educators and investors who share lessons learned on the road to building great companies – to inspire, educate and connect startup communities.

The first series of Startup Grind in Malè was introduced at the event held at Dhiraagu Head Office on 16th November and the speaker was Mr Eedham Rasheed,  Founder & CEO of Hologo World. The session was moderated by Ali Haris, from Sparkhub, the Chapter Director for Startup Grind x Malè.

At the event, Eedham shared his journey and the lessons on the road for startups. Hologo Education is an Augmented Reality (AR) based mobile and interactive educational platform which is marketed towards students, teachers and schools. An application that was developed by a team comprising entirely of Maldivians, Hologo was launched on 23 April 2018, at the BETT Middle East and Africa conference.

Further to supporting initiatives like AngelHack Maldives and Startup Weekend Maldives, Dhiraagu continues to support the local startup culture and innovation under the company’s CSR programme for youth empowerment.
