Review: Garden Villa with Pool

Baa is known to display the best of the best in Hospitality of Maldives. Big brands, Boutique resorts as well as private islands cover the atoll. To me, Kihaa is the jewel of the atoll. It’s a 100 percent Maldivian Product run by Maldivians. Kihaa is home to the UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve with more than 600 meters of jungle scenery, white sandy beaches and sunrise view to die for.

Kihaa has 124 villas in 10 categories. I was able to experience the Garden Villa with Pool of which there are only 4 villas on the Island. Roughly a 2-3-minute walk from the reception, the villa is 150 meters squared which is a considerably huge villa and can comfortably accommodate 3 adults. It is covered by lush green and features a large bedroom, a wardrobe fit for a family of 4, a bathtub and a rain shower. The Bathroom was entirely stone/marble with a walk-in shower, a huge tub, a double vanity area with Kihaa Maldives amenities plus the bathrobes to top it all off.

The wardrobe faces a generous working area, coffee and tea making facilities. Something extremely important for someone like me who can’t help but work even during an off day. Despite having cable and satellite channels, did I not even once open up my TV. I was too busy exploring the villa and having a dip in the pool.

Biggest selling point? Get out of your bed and open up your window to a pool on your very own deck. The perfect way to sip your coffee while updating yourself on the morning news. Did I mention that the highlight of my trip was the bed? In my humble opinion, few beds have topped the Kihaa bed for me. Could have been the King++ size bed, the pillows or even the pool view in front of it. You have got to try it!

From the personalized room service to the gourmet cuisine served- Kihaa Maldives service is worth experiencing at least once. From the grand welcome by the entire guest relations team onto the island to the random “How can I help you, sir?”- Service, Service, Service. That’s what makes Kihaa the jewel of Baa to me.

The team at Kihaa describes the property as: “Kihaa is not simply just a Resort. It’s a lifestyle, an experience.” To me, Kihaa offers the best of Maldivian Hospitality. A once in a lifetime experience.
