Maldives showcased Maldivian Fishing in 15th INFOFISH World Tuna Trade Conference and Exhibition. The conference commenced on 28th May in Bangkok at the Shangri-La Hotel. Mifco represented the Maldives among 600 and more companies and organizations.

Speaking at the conference Mr. Ismail Adhlee, CEO of Mifco said that, the Maldives gives a special importance to develop Fisheries Industry in a sustainable way, and that the fishing in the Maldives is done in a sustainable way.

Moreover, CEO of Mifco stated the role of Mifco in Maldives Fisheries Industry. And called upon to value the Maldives Fisheries Industry and not to value the canned and frozen fish product of Maldives as other countries.

“Maldivian fishermen are hardworking pole and line fishermen and I guarantee that all the fishes are caught environment-friendly and a sustainable way. I guarantee that industrially the packaging and factories are highest in quality.” Stated the CEO.

INFOFISH World Tuna Trade Conference and Exhibition is held at Thailand every 2 years.
