Whilst the biggest cable TV provider in country, MediaNet is set to broadcast all matches of the World Cup 2018 in HD quality, MediaNet stated that ten matches will be broadcasted in Ultra HD (4K) quality.
MediaNet revealed their latest Set-top box, M580 at a ceremony held in Central Hotel on 09th June. Along with the M580 Ultra HD STB, MediaNet launched Fashion 1 4K, InSight HD, Love Nature 4K, Nickelodeon HD, Cartoon Network HD and Sony Ten2 4K.
Speaking at the event, Executive Director of Finance, Mr. Ahmed Nashid stated that MediaNet customers need not necessarily change to M580, but if you wish to enjoy the luxury of 4K, M580 is a must have. Nashid also stated that customers who purchase the M580 can enjoy all 4K channels until the end of World Cup 2018.
There are close to 25,000 customers around the Maldives who uses MediaNet Services in HD quality.
