The Maldives Media Institute (MMI) Expo 2018 which is being held jointly by MMI and Limkokwing University has been inaugurated by the Minister of Economic Development, Mr. Mohamed Saeed.
During the inauguration ceremony, Public Service Media’s (PSM) Director of E-Commerce and Marketing, Ibrahim Nasreen stated that the aim of MMI was not only to train people in the field of media but to also train people in creative fields. MMI will guide people who wish to explore different fields and ensure that their creative talent can cater to any field in the country.
The regional manager representative for South Asia from International Development, Shaya Mits also spoke at the ceremony. “We invite you to attend the expo and get information on the courses at Limkokwing University, and to explore those courses”, said Mits.
The explore will provided information on creative industries, although media will be the main focus. MMI plans on conducting courses relating to different areas of creative industries. MMI’s Director, Mohamed Jinah said that Diploma courses will be available from MMI, including Film and Television, Broadcasting Radio & TV in addition to Animation, Sound and Music.
Attendees can apply for any of the introductory courses at MMI by visiting the expo. The expo will continue until 10:30pm of 26th June.
