Ooredoo introduces Amazon Prime Video to the Maldives

Ooredoo has introduced Amazon Prime Video to its customers. Amazon Prime Video is an on-demand video service that consists of popular movies, tv shows and several channels from all over the world with various entertainment content. The service was inaugurated in Central Park on 20th December by the CEO of Ooredoo Mr. Najeeb Khan and Minister of Communications, Science and Technology Mr. Mohamed Maleeh Jamal.

Speaking in the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Maleeh stated that partnering with international companies and introducing their services to the Maldives is a golden opportunity to link Maldives to other countries.

Amazon Prime service will be available to Ooredoo Mobile and Ooredoo fixed broadband customers. Ooredoo announced that in the week followed by 20th of December, signing up for the service is cost-free. After the trial period ends, in the first 6 months, signing up will cost 49 rufiyaa and later 99 rufiyaa per month. Ooredoo is also offering a package with 5 GB data for MVR 191 for usage of the service after the first 6 months.
