Maldives Marketing and Pubic Relation Corporation (MMPRC) has opened registration for the World Travel Market (WTM) which is to be held from November 5-7.
A circular released by MMPRC stated that interested individuals and parties can submit applications until June 28. Maldives continues to be a regular exhibitor of WTM.
WTM is a global event for the travel industry. Now in it’s 38th year, WTM attracts almost 50,000 industry professionals along with representatives from international media each year. Business contracts worth USD 3.7 billion have been discussed amongst attendees.
The fair will be a great opportunity to network with well-known travel agents from across the globe and to promote Maldives as a tourist destination. The single biggest source market for the Maldives tourism industry, the European market recorded an yearly increase of 12.4 percent last year with number of tourist arrivals increasing from 646,343 from 575,176 tourists.
