SATA concludes evaluations for Maldives

The most prestigious regional travel awards, South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) 2018 concludes its evaluations of nominees from the Maldives.

Jury evaluations for Maldives was conducted at Mookai Hotel from 18th to 23rd June. The experts panel will be heading to Sri Lanka, which will be followed by evaluations for Nepal, Bhutan and India.An all women multi-national jury will be allowing each nominee to do a 10 minutes presentation about the property and services offered. The evaluations will be conducted in the respective countries.

The Jury for 3rd Annual SATA Awards is composed of 3 high-profile individuals and is divided in based on the number of nominees from major destination who have enrolled; with over 3 decades of experience in the field of tourism and hospitality Ms Amal Goonetilleke; Ms Rinku Madan, industry professional from India; and Ms Hinna Khalid, leading expert from the Maldives with over 25 years of service in the government.

The 2018 edition of SATA Gala will be held from 14th to 15th September in Mumbai, India.

Maldives has successfully grabbed the most number of awards at the 2017th SATA, with 24 awards in total, whilst Maldives won 18 awards the year before.
