According to tourism statistics reports, Velaa Private Island has been ranked on top as the resort with highest service charge for the month of May 2018.
The report which has been compiled based on the information provided by the staffs working at the resort, shows that Velaa Private Island has given a service charge of USD 1,106 (MVR 17,054.52) to its staffs during last month. This was a 64 percent increase compared to the previous years’ service charge of USD 674.44 (MVR 10,399) during the same period.
Anantara Kihavah Villa Resort was ranked with the second highest service charge during this off season with USD 800.24 (MVR 12339.70) in May. This was a 3 percent increase in comparison with the USD 772.22 (MVR 11،907) of May 2017. Cheval Blanc Randheli Resort was ranked third with a service charge of USD 774 (MVR 11,935).
Service charge is collected from the services provided to the guests who stay at the resort. A general 10 percent is collected from all guest services.
