Out of the 1910 cases ongoing in the criminal court, over 376 cases are of Mr. Ali Adam as per a report by the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).
JSC has been receiving many complains about the cases prolonging for a long period of time.
Due to this, details of the aforementioned cases have been submitted to the People’s Majlis of Maldives.
According to the report by JSC, approximately 12 cases have been going on in the criminal court for over 10 years with 126 cases for more than 5 years.
The types of cases prolonged for over 5 years include Terrorism, Murder, Sexual abuse, violence disputes, treason and more.
