The government has registered over 30 foreign investments over the course of 7 months, as per the Ministry of Economic Development.
Speaking in the Nuvagadi event held to inform media regarding the work done by all departments, Registrar of Companies Ms Mariyam Visam explained that many foreign investors express interest towards investing in Maldives.
She further explained that most investments were registered in the tourism sector along with various other areas.
In addition, Ms Visam also stated that the new amendments made to the laws will bring about more investments.
The government recently also hosted the Maldives Partnership Forum 2019 in order to acquire help to boost investments in Maldives.
