Maldives National Surfing Team has departed for the first-ever Asian Surfing Championship to be held at Shantou, China from 17th to 24th of November.
The team manager Ibrahim Nashal Nasir is joined by Hussain Areef – the Team Captain, Ismail Rasheed and Ahmed Agil.
Asian Surfing Championships promotes surfing in Asian countries and helps other countries establish events. The Championship develops the skills of surfers through competition, brings media attention to formerly unfamiliar regions and aids in the advancement of surfing locally, regionally and internationally.
