Ministry of Finance has revealed the government has received over USD 260 million from the tourism sector so far this year.
As per the statistics published by the Finance Ministry, the state has received USD 264 million as Tourism Goods and Services Tax (TGST) and projected revenue of USD 327 million.
Moreover, the state has received USD 46.5 million from Green Tax so far in 2019 while it is estimated to receive USD 58 million by the end of the year.
The statistics also reveal that 155 resorts, 553 guesthouses and 12 city hotels are in operation as of September this year.
