MTCC announces that L. Isdhoo Harbour Upgrade project has commenced on 27th August 2020. Dredging and excavation operations are currently ongoing. The project which received EIA approval on 27th May 2020 is valued at MVR 34.7 million and was awarded on 18th December 2019.
Work on R. Rasmaadhoo Harbour Upgrade project commenced on 31st August. The project site was mobilized on 26th July 2020. The project is valued at MVR 21.97 million and was awarded on 10th December 2019.
Work on B. Fulhadhoo Harbour is well underway, with overall 50% project progress. Dredging works for the project are currently ongoing, with 93% completion. The estimated value of the project is MVR 48.29 million. The project was mobilized on 10th November 2019.
Work on Hdh. Hanimaadhoo Harbour is ongoing, with overall 20% project progress. Dredging works for the project is currently ongoing, with 43% completion. The project was mobilized on 05 May 2020.
“MTCC is contracted to construct over MVR 370 million worth of development projects in Addu City. While the pandemic has pushed back plans across the board, we are determined to overcome logistical challenges and deliver end products without quality compromise,” said the company CEO Adam Azim.
Further, the jetting machine needed for S. Maradhoo-Feydhoo Sewarage project was cleared and is ready to be transferred to Addu City. Partial commissioning of the sewerage project is scheduled for the second week of September. The project is estimated to be completed in January 2021.
The construction of major roads for Hdh. Hanimaadhoo is well underway, with an overall 65% project progress. Sidewalk paving works for the project is currently ongoing, with 80% completion. Installation of the stormwater management system is also ongoing.
