Safe drinking water, the essence of life, is a scarce commodity for the people of the Maldives; who rely on the collection of rain water or the quickly depleting underground fresh water lenses. The availability of safe drinking water was a growing concern and it was the intent of finding a solution to this problem that led to the establishment of the International Beverages Company Pvt. Ltd. The company was registered on 13th August 2003 and opened its first water production plant in Himmafushi, Kaafu Atoll. The IBC production plant located in Himmafushi is fitted with top of the line water treatment technology, desalination equipment and packaging stations. This is where ‘Life’, the premium drinking water is produced and packaged.

‘Life’ is a premium quality, distilled drinking water produced & distributed via IBC. Over the years, ‘Life’ has established itself as a trusted consumer favourite. It is available and utilised at resorts, restaurants, businesses, as well as within households. ‘Life’ comes in the 4 handy sizes: 5 litres, 1.5 litres, 500 ml and 330 ml. These eco-friendly/bio-degradable plastic bottles feature an iconic design with consumer-friendly aspects such as handles & ridges for the ease of transportation & usage.
