Work on design and build of Ha. Ihavandhoo Harbor Development Project is ongoing, with overall 66% project progress, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has announced.
According to MTCC, the final shipment of precast concrete blocks required for quay wall construction have been delivered to the project site on 2nd October 2021. Installation of harbor pavement is currently ongoing.
Scope of works for the project include dredging and excavation operations of 30,509cbm; the construction of a 95m quay wall; a 284m breakwater; and a 178m revetment. Additionally, the installation of navigation lights, installation of streetlights and construction of 4,582sqm of paved area will also be undertaken.
MTCC reveals that the value of the project is MVR 62.3 million.
