President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Sunday appointed Mohamed Nasih Rasheed to the post of Minister of State for Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment. Prior to his new appointment, Mohamed Nasih Rasheed was serving as a Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment.
Mohamed Nasih Rasheed had previously served as the President of the Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll Council and held the position of member of the council.
Mohamed Nasih Rasheed is currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Shariah and Law programme. He previously completed his Diploma in Project Management and holds an Advanced Certificate in Youth Development.
