Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has provided updates on two development projects.
Firstly, new harbor basin dredging operations are ongoing, with 37% completion for B. Kamadhoo Harbour Development Project.
Scope of works include dredging and excavation operations of 25,636 cbm, construction of a 180m breakwater, a 628m revetment, a 346m quay wall, installation of harbor pavement, construction of a ramp and installation of harbor lights. According to MTCC, the value of the project is MVR 47.01 million.
The design and construction of shore protection structures at Hdh. Nellaidhoo is also well underway, with overall 41% project progress. Construction of revetment is ongoing, with 30% completion.
Scope of works include construction of a 870m rock boulder revetment. The value of the project is MVR 19.8 million.
