The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has released an update on the Gdh. Thinadhoo Industrial Zone Land Reclamation and Shore Protection Project, stating that the project is now at 61% completion.
The project has completed the installation of essential concrete blocks required for the construction of the quay wall.
The project encompasses a comprehensive scope of work, including the reclamation of a vast area spanning 123,275 square meters. The project involves the construction of a massive 711-meter quay wall, an impressive 1,767-meter revetment, a 130-meter sheet pile, and a pavement measuring 2,080 square metres. The ongoing operations also include the installation of essential infrastructure components including bollards, fenders, and lighting.
The value of the project is MVR 162.88 million.
