Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited and British Airways have announced an expansion of their codeshare agreement, enhancing travel options for passengers between Southeast Asia and the United Kingdom. This collaboration will offer seamless connections from London Gatwick Airport to popular destinations in Thailand and Cambodia served by Bangkok Airways.
British Airways is set to resume direct flights between London and Bangkok later this year, with the inaugural flight scheduled for 28 October 2024. Initially, there will be three flights per week, increasing to up to five flights per week from January to March 2025.
Under the expanded codeshare arrangement, British Airways will place its flight numbers on several of Bangkok Airways’ routes. These include domestic flights from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, Samui, and Phuket, as well as international services to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap in Cambodia. This is in addition to the existing codeshare route between Singapore and Samui.
The enhanced partnership aims to provide passengers with greater convenience, allowing them to book connecting flights to these destinations under a single booking reference. Passengers will also benefit from through-checked baggage services, simplifying the transfer process between flights.
