Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) earned MVR 983.5 million revenue in October 2017. This includes USD 38.1 million earnings and is 10.7 percent higher than the October earnings of 2016.
The highest percentage of earnings came from Goods and Services Tax (GST) which is MVR 539.5 million. Total tax revenues for October 2017 was MVR 732.2 million and MVR 251.2 earnings were from different fees and charges.
In 2017, from January to October MVR 12.89 billion has been collected by MIRA. This is an increase of MVR 610.7 million compared to the same period of 2016.
