Bayfancy Residence, currently under development in Hulhumalé Phase 2, is set to offer a refined living experience that seamlessly blends Singapore-inspired architecture with features tailored to the Maldivian environment. Designed as a serene retreat from the hustle of Malé City, the project aims to elevate the standard of upscale living in the Maldives.
The 18-storey building stands out with its modern design, integrating natural elements and luxurious amenities. “The Bayfancy Residence is designed to attract not only business professionals and local residents seeking an upgraded living space but also international buyers looking for a luxurious lifestyle in the Maldives,” says Woncar Chen, Managing Director of Bayfancy.
Drawing inspiration from high-end developments in Singapore, Malaysia, and China, the project prioritises privacy and exclusivity. Unlike many luxury apartments that integrate commercial units, Bayfancy Residence is exclusively residential. To ensure convenience, the company has acquired an adjacent plot to develop commercial facilities. “Many luxury apartments include commercial units, which can compromise residents’ privacy. To avoid this, we are building Bayfancy Residence without any commercial spaces. However, to ensure that residents have easy access to essential services, we’ve acquired an adjacent plot to develop commercial facilities,” Chen explains.
Shared amenities, located on the 17th floor, include a swimming pool, gym, yoga room, children’s play area, library, billiards room, barbecue area, and event spaces. This strategic placement offers residents stunning panoramic views, elevating their day-to-day experience. “To provide the most comfortable living experience for our residents, we’ve located all shared facilities on the 17th floor—an observation level that offers stunning views,” Chen adds.
Each apartment is equipped with spacious balconies and hydroponic units for at-home vegetable cultivation, while smart home systems allow seamless control over air conditioning, lighting, and entertainment. A premium butler service further enhances the convenience and luxury offered by the development. The lobby, with its 6.6-metre ceiling and 150-square-metre expanse, is designed to evoke the grandeur of a five-star hotel. “We’re designing the lobby with a ceiling height of 6.6 meters and a total area of 150 square meters. We want everyone who walks in to feel as though they’re stepping into a five-star hotel,” Chen said.
Bayfancy’s focus on quality extends to the construction process, with a robust pile foundation ensuring the building’s durability and long-term stability. “Our primary goal is to complete the project on time. We’ve successfully completed several large-scale projects, including the 650,000-square-meter Randa Villas in China, the 150,000-square-meter Randa Park, and the two-million-square-meter Randa International. With this experience, we’re confident that Bayfancy Residence will be completed on schedule,” Chen assures.
The residence will feature one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments, along with four penthouses, catering to diverse buyer preferences. Sales are anticipated to begin in April, once construction reaches 20% completion. “We’re already meeting with prospective buyers and will keep everyone informed about the latest developments,” Chen adds.
Bayfancy Residence promises to redefine high-end living in the Maldives, combining innovative design, world-class amenities, and a harmonious connection with the natural environment.
