The new hotel being developed by Regent Maldives, Maagiri is set to open in the last few weeks of December. This 53-room luxury property is located in the Maldives capital city Male’, right opposite the Hulhumale’ ferry terminal.
Location of the hotel is historically significant for the tourism industry. It previously had the house which provided lodging for the first group of tourists to arrive the country in 1972.
According to one of the owners Mr Ahmed Naseer, the project is near completion. He stated that Regent Maldives aims to develop high-class hotels in Male’ and that Maagiri hotel will provide the same level of service found in hotels in Male’ or even better.
The project is estimated at USD 6 million and the hotel will include a restaurant, gym and other facilities to make it convenient for guests.
When it opens, Maagiri Hotel will be a new addition to the high-quality service hotels in Male’ city.
