Abdulla Nasheed, the CEO of Kaani Hotels, has been re-elected as the president of the National Hotels and Guest House Association during the annual general meeting held at Maagiri Hotel on Monday.
This marks Nasheed’s second consecutive term in the position. Ahmed Waheed, the owner of Noomu Guesthouse and Abdul Sameeu Imad, the guest house owner of Gunbaru Inn, has been elected vice presidents of the association.
New additions to the association’s board include President Advisor Ahmed Naseer, appointed to the finance ministry at the ministerial level.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Guesthouse Association has decided to engage with government officials to address challenges faced by the industry due to various measures.
The association also plans to release a magazine featuring photographs and information about guesthouses for promotional purposes at major fairs. Additionally, the AGM resolved to establish association counters at prominent fairs to enhance visibility.
