Addu Equatorial Hospital is set to open in September 2019.
The Hospital is being built by Alia Construction in the former Addu Equatorial Convention Center.
The Hospital includes a large operation theater complex, emergency theater and 20 departments for multiple areas such as cardiology and radiology.
Services such as MRI scans, CT scans and Mammograms will be available from the Hospital.
It will consist of a total of 100 beds with over 51 doctors and approximately 351 nurses with 33 consultation rooms and 6 private rooms.
5 lifts will be installed in the Hospital with 2 out of the 5 specialized for the operation theaters.
The original announcement of a Tertiary Hospital to be built in Addu City was made in 2005 and has remained a dream of its residents since then.
