Bank of Maldives announces that the opportunity to apply for the BML Startup Grant Fund launched in January will be open until March 16.
BML Startup Grant was launched as part of the series of 12 high impact monthly community initiatives to celebrate the Bank’s 40th anniversary in November.
The BML Startup Grant is a program for emerging entrepreneurs to win a grant funding to start or grow a business in the Maldives. Four winning businesses will be awarded MVR500,000 each. Bank of Maldives will provide mentoring support for the winners to successfully implement their plans.
“This is an opportunity for businesses that have not been registered for a year. In addition to starting a new business, a business plan can also be submitted to develop the existing business or start another business. Our request is to submit it via email before the deadline. All required tetails of the documents to be submitted are included on the website,” said BML’s Public Relations Manager Mohamed Saeed.
“We have divided the evaluation of this grant into two parts. The first will be to evaluate the proposed business plans. The top ten business plans will be selected and asked to give a presentation based on the plan. The presentation is part II of the evaluation. Four of the best presentations will be selected as winners from among the applicants,” he added.
