Bayfancy Residence to Feature Advanced Pile Foundation for Long-Term Durability

Bayfancy, a Singapore-based real estate development company operating in the Maldives, is constructing its new luxury residential project in Hulhumalé using pile foundation technology. The decision to adopt this advanced method followed detailed geological studies to ensure the building’s long-term stability and resilience.

The project involves embedding 356 piles, each reaching a depth of 12 to 15 metres, to provide a solid foundation. This technique is particularly suitable for areas with weak soil or challenging geological conditions, as it transfers the building’s weight to more stable soil layers. By distributing the load evenly, the foundation minimises risks such as structural tilt and protects against seismic activity.

Bayfancy compared the pile foundation system to a tree’s root structure, which supports and stabilises the tree. This approach reflects the company’s commitment to building a durable and reliable structure, offering future residents confidence in the building’s longevity and safety.

The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has also provided essential health and safety guidelines for the construction site in Hulhumalé, ensuring that the project adheres to local regulations and standards.

Bayfancy, re-registered in the Maldives, aims to set a new standard for luxury residential developments in the region. The use of advanced engineering techniques underscores its commitment to delivering high-quality and enduring housing solutions.
