Under their “Aharenge Bank Community Fund”, Bank of Maldives (BML) has decided to give MVR 250,000 worth aid for 5 projects. “Aharenge Bank Community Fund” is a fund specific for supporting social activities carried out by NGO’s and other private individuals.
The five projects that will be supported during the first quarter is the construction of a community park in HDh. Nellaidhoo, the building of a shaded area in Lh. Naifaru harbour area, providing of eco-friendly bags to ADh. Dhangethi, making a shaded area around M. Dhiggaru School and the making of a library in Dh. Maaenboodhoo School.
BML says that the application of proposals for the second quarter of 2019 will be opened in the end of April 2019. The Bank is spending 1 million on this project which is divided in to 4 quarters of the year. The sectors which will receive aid through this project include social, education, health, sports and environment as per Bank of Maldives.
