Bank of Maldives honored its top performing employees with a series of accolades at its annual staff awards ceremony, held last night at Dharubaaruge. The awards were presented by CEO, Andrew Healy as well as by members of the Bank’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee.

Staff and teams who have excelled were recognized in the categories of Employee of the Year,  Best Leader, Best Manager, Best Divisional Staff, Volunteer Service, Sports Spirit, Recognition for Achievement, Innovation, Unsung Champion, Customer Service Star, Rising Star, Best Atoll Employee, Best Dhoni Staff, Best Male’ Branch, Best Atoll Branch, Best Team and CEO’s Award for Outstanding Achievement.

Moosa Mohamed (Properties Unit) won the coveted Employee of the Year Award, Husham Saeed (Information Technology) received the Best Leader Award, while Moosa Munsif Ahmed (Strategic Planning and Change) and Credit Division were recipients of the CEO’s Award for Outstanding Achievement. Sahar Waheed (People and Change) received the Exceptional Contribution Award.

Andrew Healy commented “I am delighted and extremely proud to recognize the hard work of our staff. They are the driving force behind the Bank’s success and I would like to congratulate those who received awards as well as those who were nominated. I would also like to express my appreciation to all our staff for their immense contribution and commitment.”

The Staff Awards represents one component of Bank of Maldives’ focused human resources strategy. Last year the Bank received the prestigious “Asia’s Best Employer Brand Award” from the World HRD Congress and the Employer Branding Institute, affirming the organization’s progress towards being one of the best and most professional places to work in the region.
