BML Supports to Establish a Safe Drinking Water System in Bodufolhudhoo School

Under its community fund, BML has supported the AA. Bodufolhudhoo School by establishing an RO machine to provide safe drinking water for students and staff.

The aim of the project is to provide safe drinking water for students and staff of the school and to eliminate single use plastic bottles.  A commercial RO machine and a water dispenser were placed within the school for students and staff for have easy access to water.

The winning proposal was submitted by Revolutionary Bodufolhudhoo Generation and commenting on the project, Musthafa Ahmed stated “This project will benefit 186 students, teachers, staff and those visiting the school with easy access to safe drinking water. We hope this project will change the way people think to support a more sustainable environment.”

As part of the project, the Revolutionary Bodufolhudhoo Generation also donated reusable bottles for all students and staff; pledging to reduce single use plastic and adopt to environmentally friendly measures. To ensure the project is a successful and sustainable one, the organization will also do routine checks and maintenance on the machine, filters and water dispensers.

The BML Community Fund is a program to empower individuals and NGOs to contribute to their communities through sustainable projects.
