Centurion Public Limited Company has allocated MVR 3.50 per share for the year 2019 during their Annual General Meeting 2019. The meeting was held in Champa Central Hotel (CCH) on 16th May 2019.
The price was finalized after conducting a vote between the shareholders of the company. The money which will be distributed to the shareholders is 50% of the total profit made by the company in 2018, as per the results of the vote.
Speaking in the AGM, the Chairman of the company, Mr. Ahmed Maumoon explained that the profit of 2018 will be distributed to shareholders who were registered till 15th May 2019.
Centurion sells shares in order to develop the shipping and logistics industry. With regards to this, the company has purchased 10 cargo ships, a tug and various other types of ships. In order to purchase this the company has sold 49% of their shares.
