Chef Maha to Judge at Thailand World Junior Chef Battle

Maldivian culinary expert Chef Maha Naseer has been selected as a judge for the prestigious Thailand World Junior Chef Battle 2024. The event is scheduled to take place in Bangkok, Thailand, from August 28 to 31, 2024.

This competition will feature 16 teams, comprising 12 international teams and 4 Thai teams. Participants hail from diverse nations including the Maldives, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Mongolia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, China, USA, Australia, and Greece. The event will be adjudicated by a panel of renowned international chefs.

Chef Maha brings a wealth of experience to her role as judge. She formerly served as the Secretary General of the Chef Guild of Maldives and currently holds a position on the board of the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation, the country’s official tourism promotion board.

Throughout her career, Chef Maha has garnered numerous national and international accolades for her culinary expertise. Notably, she is one of the few female executive chefs in the Maldives and holds the distinction of being the first Maldivian to attain the prestigious title of Master Chef in the country.

Her participation in this global culinary event underscores the growing recognition of Maldivian cuisine on the international stage.
