China has signed a cooperation agreement with Maldives in order to provide financial support in difficulties faced in the business industry in Maldives. The agreement was signed by Economic Minister Hon. Fayyaz Ismail and China’s Market Regulation Authority’s State Minister Mr. Zhang Mao.
Speaking in the signing ceremony, Hon. Fayyaz mentioned that due to this agreement, Maldives would be able to work with experts from all sectors in the business industry. He added that in order to expand the business horizon of Maldives, it is necessary to receive help from a well-established country such as China.
Under this agreement, workshops will be held and discussions will be carried out on selective sectors of the business industry. There are various projects which are currently ongoing under Chinese labels such as VIA’s large projects.
