Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA), Maldives Stock Exchange (MSE) and Corporate Maldives have decided to give an award to the companies that promote corporate governance.
From 2019 onwards, the award will be held annually named as ‘The CG Aptus Award’ will be held consisting of two company categories namely listed and non-listed among the companies listed in the GOLD 100 magazine of Corporate Maldives.
Corporate governance is the mechanisms, processes and relations by which corporations are controlled and directed. CMDA stated that the purpose of this is to make the board directors of the company more responsible and to strengthen the culture of releasing more information. And that, corporate governance is essential in protecting stakeholder rights.
CMDA announced that the due date for application of the award is 30th November before 2 PM in the afternoon. Application forms will be available for download from their official website.
