Company annual reports, director’s report and audit reports are to be submitted to Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) by 16th August 2020.
According to the Company Act of the Maldives, all registered companies are required to submit annual financial statements, director’s report, and auditor’s report of the previous year to the registrar of companies.
Due to the challenges faced by the companies from economic impacts of COVID-19, the annual fee payment deadline was extended till 31st December 2020 without ant fines.
The previous deadline for annual fee was the end of March 2020. According to the Ministry of economic development , over 4,900 company registrations were cancelled due to unpaid company annual fees.
