For years the youth has been told to ‘be the change they wish to see in the world’. A group of youth has decided to follow this to bring Diplomacy Talk Series to the Maldives. The series is a 100 percent student-led initiative with the hope of raising awareness, stimulating dialogue and proposing viable solutions to the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Diplomacy Talk Series is led by students at Brickfields Asia College, Malaysia, with Ms. Katrina Doshi and Mr. Hamza Abdiwahab as founders and Ms. Mizfa Saeed as co-founder. “One of DTS’s aims is to encourage youth to partake in more social issues and put themselves in the front line”, expressed Ms. Mizfa.
The series covers three of the 17 UN SGDs: Gender Equality, Decent Work and Economic Growth, and Climate Action.
The Summit will be held on the 23rd of November at Hotel Jen. Additional details are available on the DTS Facebook Page.
