The parliament has passed amendment bill to the employment law allowing employees to take leave for 15 days in a year without submitting a medical certificate.
Before this amendment, employees had to submit a medical certificate for every leave taken. They were not allowed to take leave for more than two consequent days without presenting a medical certificate. However, employees can take paid leave for a maximum of 30 days in a year.
Now, from the 30-days paid annual leave, employees will be able to take leave for 15 days without presenting a medical certificate, if it does not exceed more than two consecutive days.
