Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has held an event yesterday at M. Dhiggaru to mark the commencement of physical works of the island’s land reclamation and shore protection project.
The company’s CEO Adam Azim, senior members of MTCC and Member of Parliament of Dhiggaru Constituency, Ikram Hassan graced the event.
Scope of works for the project include reclamation operations of 25 hectares, construction of a rock boulder revetment and breakwater.
According to MTCC, the value of the project is MVR 121.84 million.
