Faresmaathoda Airport to Welcome Tourism Zone with RACL-Silver Land Hotels Agreement

RACL and Silver Land Hotels have partnered to develop a tourism zone within Faresmaathoda Airport. The agreement, signed by RACL’s Managing Director, Ahmed Mubeen, and Silver Land Hotels’ Head of Project Management, Ibrahim Mohamed, aims to facilitate the development of tourism infrastructure in the region.

During the signing ceremony held on Tuesday, Mubeen revealed plans for the construction of a 100-room hotel as part of the project, with an estimated value of USD 20 million. This initiative is expected to generate around 200 job opportunities. Mubeen also mentioned ongoing investigations to ensure the project’s timely commencement, with a tentative start date within the next three months.

Faresmaathoda Airport, situated on 19 hectares of reclaimed land, boasts a 1,200-meter runway and was built at a cost of USD 9.4 million.
