Fenaka Corporation has signed an agreement to establish a solar PV system in L. Gan. The system will be implemented in 5 mosques and the social center on the island.
The agreement was signed on behalf of Fenaka by Managing Director Ahmed Saeed, and on behalf of L. Gan Council by Council President Mohamed Shiyam.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ahmed Saeed stated that this was a historic agreement, allowing Fenaka to take on more development projects. Furthermore, he added that Fenaka firmly believed in sustainable energy solutions; by year’s end, more than 12 megawatts of electricity will be produced from renewable energy sources.
Fenaka currently produces more than 8 megawatts of electricity from renewable energy sources, which the company states is more cost and energy efficient compared to traditional energy sources.
