Earlier today, Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has signed an agreement with Calix Services to provide high-speed fiber internet to Hulhumale’.
On behalf of the company, the Managing Director of HDC, Ahmed Nasif and Mr. Greg Billings, the Senior Vice President of Calix Services signed the agreement.
At the signing ceremony held today at HDC, the Managing Director of the company noted, the main purpose of the project is to make Hulhumale’ the first Asian 100% gigabyte city and to provide a network that is equivalent to ones in countries such as America and UAE.
He further noted, ‘A number of smart services have been introduced to the world including smart traffic management and smart surveillance. The network we are planning on building will be able to manage all the smart services and provide it from one platform to the operators.’
In this regard, it will also offer better and modern technology services for the civilians living in Hulhumale’.
