Minister of Foreign Affairs His Excellency Abdulla Shahid has arrived in China on an official visit.
Foreign Minister Shahid is scheduled to call on His Excellency Wang Qishan, Vice President of China and His Excellency Wang Yi, State Councilor and Foreign Minister of China and discuss strengthening relations between the two countries.
Minister Shahid will also be meeting Mr. D J Pandian, Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and Mr. Li Daosong, President of BUCG International, Beijing Urban Construction Group (BUCG).
His Excellency Ahmed Khaleel, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Ali Naseer Mohamed, Secretary, Multilateral, Mr. Miuvaan Mohamed, Director of Communications and Ms. Maryam Bassama Farooq, Assistant Director accompanied the Minister on his visit to China.
