Foreign Ministry Sign Visa Waiver Agreements with Honduras, Togo and Andorra 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has engaged in visa waiver agreements with the Republic of Honduras, the Republic of Togo, and the Principality of Andorra. 

These agreements aim to streamline international travel processes and fortify diplomatic relations.

The Republic of Maldives and Honduras formalised a visa waiver agreement, allowing Maldivian citizens to obtain visas upon arrival in Honduras, eliminating the need for pre-application. This reciprocal arrangement permits stays of up to 30 days upon entry. The signing ceremony involved Mr Ahmed Khaleel, the Minister of State for the Foreign Ministry, and Mr Eduardo Enrique Reina, the Foreign Minister of Honduras.

Secondly, the Republic of Maldives and the Republic of Togo ratified an Agreement on Mutual Exemption of Visa Requirements, enabling Maldivian passport holders to visit Togo for 30 days without obtaining a visa. The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Ahmed Khaleel, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and Prof. Robert Dussey, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration, and Togolese Abroad, both emphasising their dedication to fostering cooperation.

In addition, the Republic of Maldives and the Principality of Andorra established an Agreement on Mutual Exemption of Visa Requirements, granting visa-free travel for up to 90 days, including single or multiple entries. Mr. Ahmed Khaleel, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and Her Excellency Imma Tor Faus, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Andorra, signed the agreement, expressing gratitude for enhancing friendly relations.

These visa waiver agreements reflect the Republic of Maldives’ dedication to simplifying travel procedures and promoting cooperation around the world.
