Former Finance Minister Dr. Ahmed Inaz has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Board of Maldives Pension Administration Office (MPAO).
Inaz had served as Minister of Finance during former President Mohamed Nasheed’s administration.
Prior to the new appointment, the role of Chairperson of MPAO was held by Athifa Ali, whose term recently expired.
Members of the Maldives Pension Administration Office’s Board of Directors are appointed by the President, based on a shortlist of candidates recommended by a committee comprisedd of representatives from the Civil Service Commission, Finance Ministry, and Gender Ministry.
