Four Seasons Private Island Maldives at Voavah to Open This Year

At the end of this year it’s possible for luxury travelers to book an entire private island at the Four Seasons on the Maldives islands. The first private island in the company’s portfolio is the world’s only exclusive-use UNESCO stamped hideaway located in a biosphere reserve.

By booking the private island, you will have access to the island’s seven bedrooms, beach house, dive center and spa. Your booking also grants you access to your own 18.9-meter private yacht that can host up to 22 guests on an exclusive basis. Besides the private yacht and jet service, there is nothing left to desire when on the private island. It evolves around a two-story beach house which is surrounded by white sand beaches and crystal clear waters.

The beach house can be seen as the hub of the island, offering guests an open-air living room, dining room, kitchen, pool deck, gym, library, and a soft lounge. The seven bedrooms are spread out over three different locations on the island: directly on the beach, over the lagoon or elevated in panoramic ‘Mezzanine’ suites.

Transport to the exclusive hideaway goes in style: a 40-minute transfer from Malé International Airport by seaplane is all it takes. Guests that prefer to arrive by boat can opt for a 20-minute speedboat ride from the Four Seasons Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru resort instead. The Four Seasons Island Maldives at Voavah will be the fourth luxury property in the company’s Maldives collection.

“Four Seasons Private Island Maldives at Voavah will redefine exclusive luxury, opening as a tropical haven for those who seek an unprecedented experience of private luxury alongside Four Seasons legendary service,” said Mike Crawford, President, Asia Pacific. “As the latest addition to our Extraordinary Experiences collection, the island speaks to the company’s commitment to perfecting the guest experience and our ability to re-imagine the limits of luxury travel in creative and innovative ways. It’s just one of the many ways we’re constantly evolving our offerings to deliver the kind of memorable, fully-customised and exclusive experiences our guests want and value.”
