Fenaka Corporation Limited was incorporated as a limited liability company on June 18, 2012, by a presidential decree with a mandate to provide electricity, water, and sewerage services to outer island communities in the Maldives. Currently, we provide our services to 157 islands in 18 atolls across the country. As a new activity, mandated by the government in 2022, Fenaka has also started providing ice to fishermen and has acquired 14 ice plants. Furthermore, Fenaka Institute for Training and Research (FITR) was established in 2020 to develop our staff and build capacity. Fenaka Corporation Limited is certified with ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems) and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems) to ensure high-quality services for our customers.

Fenaka Corporation Limited provides electricity services to 156 islands and aims to produce 70 percent of its power generation through renewable energy sources to reduce its carbon footprint. They have integrated solar energy into their existing power grids to create hybrid power generation systems and introduced the ‘Home-Solar Program’ in 2022, which reduces customers’ electricity bills by up to 97 percent while helping to achieve the government’s NetZero target. Additionally, the company provides clean water supply to 49 islands and sewerage facilities to 67 islands. They have recently added ice provision to their portfolio, acquiring 14 ice plants in 2022 to provide a continuous supply of ice to fishermen at affordable rates.
