Maldives State Shipping (MSS) is a shipping and logistics company launched in 2020 offering an extensive international liner shipping service. MSS is owned by State Trading Organization PIc (STO) and its subsidiary, Fuel Supplies Maldives (FS). Despite the challenges faced by the company and the shipping industry during the pandemic, MSS’s growth has been rapid and consistent. MSS commenced its service by employing a chartered ship. However, within the last three years, MSS’s fleet has grown to three ships, which consist of a bulk carrier and two container vessels. MSS plays a crucial role in supporting the economic development of the Maldives by providing reliable and efficient sea transport services to the people and businesses of the country.
