Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that the work on the design and build of Ha. Ihavandhoo Harbour is well underway, with overall 50% project progress.
MTCC has commenced installation of precast concrete blocks required for the construction of quay wall today.
Scope of works for the project include dredging and excavation operations of 30,509cbm; the construction of a 95m quay wall; a 284m breakwater; and a 178m revetment. Additionally, the installation of navigation lights, installation of streetlights and construction of 4,582sqm of paved area will also be undertaken.
According to MTCC, the value of the project is MVR 48.5 million.
