Ministry of Foreign Affairs has revealed that the Maldivian fishing boat “Ambaree” which was detained by Indian Coastguard will be released sometime Monday.
Foreign Ministry has said that they have been informed by the Indian authorities that the boat along with its crew members will be released.
In a press statement released by the Ministry urges vessels and their owners to take caution not to trespass into foreign waters as it is prohibited for fishing vessels to venture into the economic zone of foreign nations.
Maldivian fishing vessel “Ambaree” was detained last Saturday three miles off Minicoy by Indian Coast Guard.
