In order to strengthen corporate relations between Maldives and the European Union (EU), an investor forum is set to be held, as per Minister of Foreign Affairs, Honorable Abdulla Shahid.
The forum is currently planned to be held within the second quarter of 2019 according to Mr. Shahid. He added that due to the forum, international investors will be informed regarding the investment opportunities in Maldives. He explained that the forum is being held to allow Maldivians to make investments so as to make use of the riches of Maldives.
In addition, even though the aids being received from foreign countries have lessened due to the upgrade of Maldives from least developed countries to developing countries, the Ministry is working on increasing foreign direct investments said Mr. Shahid.
